A little late contributing to the photo challenge this week…but, post-Halloween, there are simply too many images onhand not to submit something!
Especially when the theme is “TRANSMOGRIFY”:
“Transform. Morph. Change. Show us something already transformed, on the cusp of transformation, or that you wish you could transform.”
I mean, “transmogrified” pumpkins are everywhere this time of year! I have four of them on my table as I type this! Three days past Halloween, they’re beginning to look a little lumpy and deflated, it’s true. But I’m still enjoying having them around!
Here’s one (taken before the deflation began!):
And while the jack-o-lanterns try to be scary (and largely fail!), the much scarier transmogrification around here last weekend was that of my son into a werewolf.
He wore this mask on a previous Halloween and really didn’t look that scary – but for some reason, this year he wore it REALLY WELL! Maybe he’s just finally tall enough now to really pull it off. Or maybe it’s that we made him furry hands to go with it? I don’t know…but whatever it was, it worked!:
His sister’s transmogrification into a kitty wasn’t quite so scary (she was just cute!):
She made the mistake of watching the “Thriller” video for the first time this weekend though – and now is having some lingering post-Halloween trauma, picturing dancing zombies popping out of corners to get her, etc. (Poor baby!!)
All in all, Halloween was very low-key this year – but pretty fun! 🙂
